Alexandra Dettore, LPC-MHSP (t) is a therapist with a focus on working with clients who have experienced trauma. She also holds a master's in Criminal Justice: Forensic Psychology from Liberty University 2020 and master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University 2024.

She is currently seeking certification as a Trauma Specialist through Arizona Trauma Institute and utilizes TF-CBT with her minor clients. She also holds membership with the American Association for Christian Counselors. Alexandra works with clients from a holistic perspective and implements a collective practice of techniques from CBT, TF-CBT, Narrative, Solutions-Focused, Collaborative Problem Solving, IFS and Experiential to give clients a range of skills. Alexandra often uses aromatherapy, faith, activities, physical exercise techniques and journaling to help create an integrative and holistic therapeutic experience for clients.

Prior to becoming a therapist, Alexandra spent nearly a decade in the criminal justice world in a variety of first responder roles and working with children who were abused or in foster care. She also worked for a local non-profit as an intensive in-home therapist.

Alexandra enjoys working with children 10 years old and up, young adult women, adult women, and first responders. She aims to provide a safe place as an empathetic witness for those facing trauma, adjustment or processing around adoption, acute stress, occupational stress or trauma, grief, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, complex post-traumatic stress disorder, and religious trauma. She also specializes in working with parents of teens facing delinquency issues or mental health diagnosis such as BPD, cPTSD, PTSD or relational issues.

Alexandra often holds to the statement, "When you cannot see the bright side, I will sit with you in the dark."
