Alexandra Dettore is a master's level therapist with a focus on working with clients who have experienced trauma.

Prior to becoming a therapist, Alexandra spent nearly a decade in the criminal justice world in a variety of first responder roles. Alexandra also worked for a local non-profit as an intensive in-home therapist and has training in collaborative problem solving and is additionally trained in trauma informed care. She also holds a master's in criminal justice: forensic psychology from Liberty University.

Alexandra enjoys working with children 10 years old and up, young adult women, adult women, and first responders. She aims to provide a safe place as an empathetic witness for those facing trauma, acute stress, occupational stress or trauma, grief, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, relational issues with parents, and religious trauma.

Alexandra often uses aromatherapy, faith, activities, and journaling to help create an integrative and holistic therapeutic experience for clients. She looks at every client through a CBT lens and integrates Narrative, solutions-focused and IFS therapeutic modalities within her practice with clients.

Alexandra often holds to the statement, "When you cannot see the bright side, I will sit with you in the dark."

Additionally, Alexandra holds membership with the American Association for Christian Counselors and is working on becoming further educated in the homeopathic community to give clients a holistic view with their mental and spiritual health.

Alexandra offers financial hardship and some sliding scale options upon application.
